Many Warts?"

Tuesday, June 4, 9pm (EST) at BlogTalkRadio: http://makeupdontbreakup.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=bce24f440531c0423970de1cd&id=f61bedad8d&e=8f61629519
She drinks too much.

He's out of work and doesn't intend to get a job.

He loves you but is "not ready" to commit to you yet.

She's still attached to her ex.

He has an explosive temper.

She's a drama queen?

He's a charming boy who won't grow up.

The list goes on and on...

Nobody is perfect. We all have character flaws.

But could your frog could shed those warts and grow into a prince or
princess?

And what if your partner's warts are permanent, meaning he/she is
incapable of forming a solid and lasting relationship?

Is there any way for you to tell?

In this show, I discuss my proven method for measuring your partner's
"Relationship Readiness" so you can determine if your partner has
unfinished business or, what I call Old Scars from childhood that
prevent him or her from fully connecting with you.

"Relationships on the Rocks"

In this column, I commend a man who has the courage to admit that his
emotional baggage drove his girlfriend away. He desperately wants to
know if there is any way to get his ex back even though she said that
she wants space from him. In my answer, I explain how he can discuss
his newfound self-awareness with his ex, and increase his chances of
getting his ex back by not putting pressure on her to resume the
relationship.

"Needing Wisdom in the Last Hours Before the Wedding"

In this column, I advise a man who is afraid to go through with
marrying his fiance who was orphaned for the first five years of her
life and then later abused by her adoptive mother. Years of counseling
has improved her tendency to relate to him as her abusive mother, and,
yet he still hesitates. He also revealed the fact that he has a
lifelong pattern of infidelity and cheating. I point out that he is
unaware of his own emotional baggage, which leads him to be sexually
unfaithful to his partners; in fact, infidelity and cheating allows
him to keep one foot out of the door, indicating that he has his own
unrecognized issues that make him unready for a relationship.

"Lady Who Has Been Through the Mill"

In this column, I help a woman who admits that she carries a lot of
emotional baggage following the breakup of her marriage and a
protracted bitter divorce battle. She wants to find love again but
doesn't know how discuss her baggage with prospective partners.

Nobody is perfect. We all have character flaws. The question is
whether your frog is a prince or princess in disguise! ...or a frog
that just has too many warts!

But how can you tell whether your partner is capable of a real
relationship? Research shows that when people encounter relationship
troubles, reactions fall into three camps: they either blame
themselves and then try to change themselves or "do something
different," hoping to please their partner and, hopefully, fix the
relationship; or they blame their partner rather than examining their
own role in the problems, convincing themselves that the other person
is messed up and not ready for a relationship, then they pull away or
cheat; or they fall into what I call the Ostrich Policy, sticking
their heads in the sand, hoping that "it" will go away. But, of
course, what doesn't get better gets worse!

If any of these three scenarios describes you and your relationship,
then my tip for this week is to do one or both of these things:

* Listen to the next Ask Dr Love Radio show on June 5th, either live
or archived.

* Download my free "Is Your Partner Ready For Love" test and workbook
NOW and discover whether he or she really has what it takes or has too
much emotional baggage. The test is a PDF eBook that you should be
able to read and even print out on any computer using Adobe Acrobat
Reader. Click this link for immediate download: http://makeupdontbreakup.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=bce24f440531c0423970de1cd&id=ad742b0a55&e=8f61629519

Also, if you're experiencing recurring relationship problems ranging
from chronic fighting to poor communication to always ending up in the
wrong relationship with the same wrong person, it's time to get my
book "Till Death Do Us Part (Unless I Kill You First): A Step-by-Step
Guide For Resolving Relationship Conflict" and unlock the secrets of
relationship harmony. Find out more about this book here:
